Jose Mourinho expresses Fernando Torres regret

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho expresses his regret that Fernando Torres did not find the net in the 3-0 win over Stoke City this evening.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has expressed his regret that Fernando Torres did not find the net in the 3-0 win over Stoke City this evening.

The Spaniard is in the middle of a nine-game barren spell in the Premier League, with his last strike coming in the 2-0 win away to Hull City back in January.

Despite the lack of success in front goal, Mourinho insists that he is pleased with the striker and believes that he will rediscover his goalscoring touch upon breaking his drought.

"It's a pity Fernando Torres didn't score because goals give confidence but he worked hard for the team and I'm pleased with him," the Portuguese said.

Mohamad Salah bagged his second league goal to send the Blues on their way at Stamford Bridge, before Frank Lampard and Willian added further strikes as Mourinho's men moved top of the standings.
