David Luiz keen to look forward after Chelsea defeat

Chelsea defender David Luiz admits that he is "a bit sad" after the Blues lost 2-1 to Liverpool on his second debut for the club.

Chelsea defender David Luiz has admitted that he had mixed feelings after featuring in his side's 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on Friday night.

Luiz was making his first appearance since securing a shock return to Stamford Bridge on the final day of the transfer window, but he could not prevent the Blues from succumbing to goals from Dejan Lovren and Jordan Henderson.

The 29-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I am very happy to be here again, to be able to play these kind of games again, the best in the world.

"I'm a bit sad because I didn't start how I wish but now is about looking to the next games. They never stop so we need to do better to win games."

Chelsea are next in action when they travel to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.
