Jurgen Klopp: 'Jose Mourinho's a nice guy if you're not a referee or journalist'

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp jokes that Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho can be a "nice guy" to people who are not referees or journalists.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has joked that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is a "nice guy" to people who are not referees or journalists.

The Portuguese coach has been in trouble with the Football Association a handful of times due to his comments regarding referees.

Mourinho has also hit out at the media during his troublesome season that has left Chelsea 15th in the Premier League table after 10 games.

During Klopp's time in charge of Borussia Dortmund, Mourinho criticised the German coach for talking too much ahead of the team's Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid.

Ahead of Saturday's clash between Chelsea and Liverpool, Klopp told reporters: "I'm full of respect for [Mourinho's] work. If you're not a journalist or a referee he can be a nice guy. I'm neither of those.

"He's a nice guy. He is emotional. I am emotional, but we are professional enough to know after the final whistle normal life starts again. That's what we did. Everything is okay between us, no problem."

Some reports have claimed that Mourinho will be sacked if his team fail to beat Liverpool tomorrow.
