Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri rubbishes rumours he is joining Chelsea

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri rejects reports linking him to the Chelsea manager's job.

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has rejected speculation linking him with the manager's job at Chelsea.

The Italian coach became an early frontrunner for the job when Jose Mourinho was sacked in December.

The Premier League champions swiftly appointed Guus Hiddink, but it was made clear that the Dutchman would not be staying at Stamford Bridge beyond the end of the season.

Reports last week claimed that Allegri had agreed a four-year deal with the Blues, but the man himself has rejected the rumours.

"There's nothing to it," Allegri told Sky Sports News. "I cannot either confirm or deny something that doesn't exist.

"I want this matter over and done with now. What's important for me right now is to get to the end of the season with Juventus and try and win some silverware."

Since taking over at Juve in the summer of 2014, Allegri has guided the team to the Serie A title, the Coppa Italia and the final of the Champions League, in which they were beaten by Barcelona.
