Cambridge United's Adam Cunnington hoping to give manager "a bit of a headache"

Adam Cunnington is hoping to feature regularly in Richard Money's Cambridge United starting lineup following his return from a loan spell at Bristol Rovers.

Cambridge United striker Adam Cunnington has revealed that he is keen to give his manager Richard Money "a bit of a headache" as far as team selection is concerned.

The 27-year-old made a goalscoring impact against Northampton Town last week following his return from a loan stint at Bristol Rovers.

Having now scored his first goal in the Football League, the frontman has turned his attention to earning a regular place in the Cambridge starting lineup.

"It was a real bonus to start and then get a goal, so it turned out great for me," Cunnington told the Cambridge Evening News.

"When you go out on loan your
future does seem a little bit uncertain, but you've just got to try to work hard and stay as fit as you can and I knew I'd be coming back to Cambridge soon anyway.

"It went okay at Bristol although I'd like to have scored a few more goals, but it was great to be back and see the lads again. I've got to take everything as a
positive. Now I've come back and scored a goal, I hope that will give the gaffer a bit of a headache."

Cunnington joined Cambridge from Tamworth last year.
