Burnley boss Sean Dyche pleased with win at Huddersfield Town

Burnley manager Sean Dyche admits that he was pleased with the way his side controlled the game in the 3-1 victory away at Huddersfield Town.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has said that he was impressed with the performance of his side as they extended their lead at the top of the Championship table with a 3-1 win at Huddersfield Town.

Goals from Stephen Ward, Sam Vokes and Ben Mee have helped the Clarets move seven points clear of second-placed Middlesbrough, and Dyche was delighted with how his players handled the pressure at the John Smith's Stadium.

The 44-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "I felt we had control of the game at the end of the first half and we saw it out really well.

"In the second half Huddersfield played with more freedom, as you would expect from a side with nothing to lose, but we controlled it well.

"The energy of the side is great and we will physically go as hard as we can to get where we want to be. It was a very powerful performance and we never looked under pressure."

Burnley are now unbeaten in 14 league matches, with 11 victories and three draws being registered since their defeat to Hull City on Boxing Day.
