Burnley announce the appointment of David Baldwin as their new chief operating officer.

Burnley have announced the appointment of David Baldwin as their new chief operating officer.

Baldwin has joined the Premier League club following a seven-year spell as chief executive at Bradford City.

Burnley's chief executive Lee Hoos believes that Baldwin has all the right attributes to push the club forward.

"It's great to be able to welcome David to the team here," Hoos told the club's official website. "He has an incredible amount of experience in the game and he has done great work at Bradford City over his time there.

"I'm looking forward to working with him as we try to drive the organisation further forward in an exciting time for everyone in the Barclays Premier League."

The Clarets are currently second from bottom in the Premier League table.
