Chris Hughton: 'Brighton & Hove Albion not at their best in Blackburn Rovers win'

Chris Hughton insists that Brighton & Hove Albion did not play well during their 1-0 Championship win over Blackburn Rovers.

Chris Hughton has said that he is encouraged by Brighton & Hove Albion's ability to grind out results when not playing well.

Kazenga Lua Lua scored the only goal of the game as Brighton defeated Blackburn Rovers, and goalkeeper David Stockdale was forced into a number of saves to keep the Seagulls on top.

"Our keeper pulled off some really important saves and at this moment we are doing okay," Hughton told BBC Sport.

"The encouraging thing is that, although we didn't play particularly well, we are winning games. We were not at our best on a hot afternoon."

The win moves Brighton up to second in the Championship table.
