Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe yet to select goalkeeper for Southampton clash

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe says that he is yet to select a goalkeeper for this Sunday's Premier League clash against Southampton.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has claimed that he is yet to make a decision over which goalkeeper to select for Sunday's South Coast derby against Southampton.

Artur Boruc has had a poor run of form, making a string of mistakes in last weekend's 5-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at the Vitality Stadium.

The 35-year-old, who has been suffering with a thigh problem, was dropped for Wednesday's Capital One Cup defeat to Liverpool in favour of Adam Federici.

In today's pre-match press conference, Howe claimed that he is yet to decide which keeper will make it in the starting XI this weekend.

"We have tough decisions to make in terms of our team selection every week," Howe told reporters. "Artur has had problems with his thigh which has been well documented after he pulled out of the Manchester City game.

"He has had treatment this week on his thigh so we haven't seen him on the training ground and we are just trying to look after the injury. We will have to see whether he is fit then we can make a decision between the two."

The Cherries are currently 17th in the league table, two points above the relegation zone.
