Bolton Wanderers produce rousing comeback to beat Bristol City

Bolton Wanderers turnaround a two-goal deficit to beat Bristol City thanks to goals from Chris Eagles, Jay Spearing and Martin Petrov.

Bolton Wanderers began life without Owen Coyle with stirring victory at home to Bristol City after trailing 2-0 in the early stages.

Steven Davies opened the scoring after three minutes and doubled his tally twenty minutes later from the penalty spot after a foul by Tim Ream.

Chris Eagles produced an instant response for Bolton, netting a powerful free kick to reduce the deficit before half time.

Bolton dominated possession in the second half and were rewarded when Jay Spearing continued a late surge forward and slotted home a pass from Kevin Davies.

The turnaround was completed ten minutes from time when Martin Petrov found space and finished coolly from a tight angle.
