Gary Bowyer: 'Blackburn Rovers deserved more against Cardiff City'

Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer believes that his side "deserved a bit more" from their draw with Cardiff City in the Championship.

Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer has claimed that his side "deserved a bit more" than their 1-1 draw with Cardiff City on Friday.

Rovers shared the spoils in their opening match of the new Championship season as Tom Cairney cancelled out Kenwyne Jones's opener at Ewood Park.

"I thought we deserved a bit more. We had a lot the ball against a team who have just come down from the Premier League," Bowyer is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"For all of their possession, perhaps the disappointment is we didn't create many chances but they brought a million-pound player on. What does that say?"

Blackburn return to action on Tuesday when they host Scunthorpe United in the first round of the League Cup.
