Pep Guardiola hails Bayern Munich performance

Bayern Munich head coach Pep Guardiola claims that his side put in one of their "best Bundesliga performances" under his management against Hoffenheim.

Pep Guardiola has praised his Bayern Munich players for the display that they produced during the weekend's 2-1 win over Hoffenheim.

The Bavarians fell behind within a minute when Kevin Volland put the home side in front and they also had to contend with the second-half dismissal of centre-back Jerome Boateng.

However, goals from Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski, the latter of whom found the net in stoppage time, secured all three points for Guardiola's men.

Speaking to the club's official website after the final whistle, the Spaniard insisted that it was one of the "best Bundesliga performances" that Bayern have put in since he took charge of the club.

"I'm happy with the win, but especially with our performance. We've always found it tough in Hoffenheim in recent years, so we knew it would be hard work," he said.

"The last 10 minutes were a little crazy. That was one of our best Bundesliga performances in the last three years."

Next up for Guardiola's men is a home encounter against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.
