Alexis Sanchez dismisses Lionel Messi's goal drought

Barcelona striker Alexis Sanchez says that Lionel Messi is playing as he normally would, despite extending a goal drought to four games.

Barcelona striker Alexis Sanchez has dismissed the debate over Lionel Messi's form after the four-time Ballon d'Or winner extended his goal drought to four games in the 1-0 win against Espanyol.

Messi has not scored since the 1-1 draw with AC Milan in the Champions League on October 22.

"Leo is in the same form as always," Sanchez told AS. "He hasn't been scoring goals but he has provided assists and taking on players. We think he's the same as always, playing very well."

Gerardo Martino's side are currently top of La Liga.
