Gerardo Martino: 'Osasuna draw is insufficient'

Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino admits that his side's 0-0 draw against Osasuna was "insufficient".

Barcelona manager Gerardo Martino has admitted that his side's lack of cutting edge in front of goal was to blame for them losing their 100% La Liga record at Osasuna on Saturday.

The Catalan giants drew a blank for just the second time this season as they were held to a 0-0 draw, in which they only managed three shots on target despite having 76% possession.

Martino has confessed that he sees the result as points dropped, but believes that it was only the smallest of margins that prevented Barca from claiming a victory to go with their good performance.

"The draw is insufficient," Martino told reporters. "We should have won, given the chances we created. We weren't accurate in front of goal. [But] I'm pleased with the team's performance.

"I would be concerned if there had been a decline in our performance. We tied because that's how it had to be. I don't think our level has dropped.

"In the first half we were missing that final pass. We were off by centimetres."

The only other occasion when Barca have failed to find the net this term was in the second leg of their Spanish Super Cup tie with Atletico Madrid at Camp Nou.
