Barcelona full-back Eric Abidal makes his final appearance for the Catalan giants during their final-day victory over Malaga.

Barcelona defender Eric Abidal has bid an emotional farewell to the Camp Nou faithful this evening after making his final appearance for the club as a substitute against Malaga in La Liga this evening.

The 33-year-old will leave Barca when his contract expires next month, after battling back from a liver transplant and subsequent tumour to resume his playing career.

After spending six seasons with the Calatan giants, Abidal is a firm favourite with players and fans alike at the club and came on to a rapturous reception against Malaga.

The French international full-back has won 15 trophies during his time at Barca, including four La Liga titles and two Champions League crowns.

Abidal will now bid to find a new club in the summer after Barca announced their decision not to renew his contract earlier this week.

Barca ran out comfortable 4-1 winners against Malaga to reach the 100-point mark in La Liga, with David Villa and Cesc Fabregas among the goalscorers.
