Paul Lambert is yet to decide if he will hand Jores Okore a full debut during Aston Villa's upcoming trip to Arsenal.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has revealed that he is not sure if Jores Okore will be ready to start during Saturday's Premier League opener against Arsenal.

A hamstring injury has limited the summer signing from FC Nordsjaelland to just two 45-minute appearances across the pre-season period.

He has since made a full recovery, but Lambert has admitted that he will not make a decision on the 20-year-old until later this week.

"I'll decide later on in the week. He's not played much," the Birmingham Mail quotes the Scottish boss as saying.

"There are lads who haven't had much game time, who haven't played 90 minutes and lads who may have played too much and were left out.

"I'll wait and see because some of them have got to go with their national teams. Hopefully they'll all come back fit."

Charles N'Zogbia and Chris Herd are also injury doubts for the trip to the Emirates Stadium.
