Lacina Traore to undergo surgery

Monaco forward Lacina Traore will have surgery to correct the stress fracture of his right tibia.

AS Monaco have confirmed that striker Lacina Traore is to undergo an operation on the stress fracture of his right tibia.

The injury, which has been troubling the 24-year-old since the beginning of the season, has recently worsened.

As a result, it has been decided that Traore will now go under the surgeon's knife, which will rule him out of this week's Champions League clash against Premier League side Arsenal.

It is expected that the Ivory Coast international will return to training within the next six to eight weeks.

Traore spent part of last season on loan with Everton.
