Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour says Manchester City defender Wayne Bridge would be a good signing for the Gunners.

Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour believes that Manchester City defender Wayne Bridge would be a good signing for the Gunners.

Bridge, 31, has been frozen out at City this season and could leave the Etihad in January in search of first-team football.

Arsenal have continuously been linked with a move for the former England international, and Parlour believes that the left-back would be a good addition to the squad.

"I think the only position that Wenger will strengthen is in full-backs. Andre Santos, Kieran Gibbs, Bacary Sagna and Carl Jenkinson are all out with injuries," Parlour told talkSPORT.

"Wayne Bridge would do alright, he'd be a good signing. He hasn't played for quite a while but he's still a quality player."

Bridge joined City from Chelsea in 2008, but he has made just one appearance for the club this season.
