A report claims that Manchester City defender John Stones could be on his way to Arsenal in the summer after failing to win over Pep Guardiola.

Arsenal reportedly intend to revive their interest in Manchester City defender John Stones ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Gunners were linked with the England international, who worked under Mikel Arteta at the Etihad Stadium, in January.

According to 90min, Arsenal are still keen on offering Stones an escape route from City and Pep Guardiola's men are open to selling.

The report indicates that the 25-year-old has failed to convince Guardiola of his quality and a transfer is now on the cards ahead of next season.

Stones has made 54 Premier League appearances for the Citizens since the start of the 2017-18 season, with injuries and a lack of form seeing his playing time reduced.
