Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles reportedly emerges as a summer transfer target for AC Milan.

AC Milan are reportedly interested in a summer move for Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

The 22-year-old has made 23 appearances for the Gunners during the 2019-20 campaign, contributing two assists in the process.

The Englishman has not been involved in any of Arsenal's last four Premier League games, though, and there have been suggestions that he could move on at the end of the season.

According to Calciomercato, Milan have identified the versatile defender as a potential signing during this summer's transfer window, although Inter Milan are also believed to be considering a move.

Maitland-Niles, who has operated in a number of positions for his English club since making the breakthrough into the first team, has a contract at the Emirates Stadium until the summer of 2023.

The defender started the current campaign as Arsenal's first-choice right-back, while he also featured in eight straight league games in that position between December 9 and January 18.
