Andre Santos is targeting a return to the Brazil squad if he plays well at Arsenal this season.

Arsenal left-back Andre Santos has targeted a return to the Brazil set-up as his aim for the coming season.

Santos said that he believes playing well for a side such as Arsenal would ensure that the Brazil coach Mano Menezes would consider him for a recall.

"My aim is to return to the national team," he told Radio Bradesco Esportes FM. "By playing for a big club like Arsenal and playing well for them, if I have a good start to the season, I can't see why I wouldn't have a chance at the national team.

"The Brazil coach Mano Menezes is a logical person, who respects all the players and gives us all a chance.

"He calls up the players who are in good form, and if I'm in good form, I will deserve my return to the national team."

Santos made 15 league appearances for the Gunners last season.
