Arsenal keeper Petr Cech: 'Yannick Bolasie's shot skidded too fast'

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech believes that Yannick Bolasie's equalising goal for Crystal Palace was hit too well for him to save at the near post.

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has claimed that Yannick Bolasie's equalising goal for Crystal Palace this afternoon skidded too fast for him to handle.

Cech was beaten at his near post by the well-struck low drive in the 82nd minute as Palace earned a point at the Emirates to prevent Arsenal moving back up to third in the table.

Speaking to Sky Sports News after the match, Cech said: "We should have seen the game off, this is two dropped points.

"They managed to get a counter-attack and hit it on the floor, the ball skidded fast, I got a bit of a touch."

Arsenal are level on points with Manchester City but behind them on goal difference, while Manchester United are only four points behind in the race for a top-four place.
