Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain disappointed with Arsenal

Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain says that Martin Skrtel's last-gasp header to earn a Liverpool a point was disappointing.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has admitted that he and his Arsenal teammates are disappointed with the manner of Sunday's 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Anfield.

The Gunners looked on course for three points as goals from Mathieu Debuchy and Olivier Giroud turned the game on its head after Philippe Coutinho's opener.

However, Martin Skrtel powered home a 97th-minute header to snatch a point for Brendan Rodgers's side.

"It's really disappointing for us," Oxlade-Chamberlain told reporters.

"I don't think we played that well today, but sometimes you need to win those games when you don't play well, especially away from home at a hard place at Anfield.

"The manager said that if we came out well in the second half by building on the goal we got late on, that we'd have a good chance of winning the game. To be 2-1 up so late on, we're really disappointed we weren't able to see it out."

The North Londoners sit four points adrift of fourth-placed West Ham United in the Premier League table.
