Assistant coach Freddie Ljungberg is allegedly most likely to replace under-pressure manager Unai Emery in the Arsenal dugout.

Staff at Arsenal reportedly feel that Freddie Ljungberg is the most likely replacement for Unai Emery.

After a run of just two wins from 11 matches in the Premier League, Emery is under intense pressure to keep his job at the Emirates Stadium.

Manchester City assistant Mikel Arteta, Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo and former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri have all been suggested as possible successors to the Spaniard.

However, according to Goal.com, Ljungberg is well placed to be appointed on a temporary basis should the club's board opt to sack Emery.

The former midfielder currently holds the position of assistant coach after being promoted to the first-team setup during the summer.
