Arsenal's Kieran Gibbs: 'We must maintain form'

Kieran Gibbs says that Arsenal must maintain their good run of form until the end of 2013 to win the Premier League.

Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs believes that his side need to get positive results in matches running up to the New Year.

The Gunners are currently seven points clear at the top of the Premier League following a 3-0 away victory over Cardiff City.

"It was a massive win for us," Arsenal's official website quotes him as saying. "We have some big games ahead of us and it was important to get off to a good start.

"The Christmas period is coming up soon and we have put ourselves in a good position. The next eight or so games could decide our season so it is important we keep it going."

"It was a tough game at Cardiff but we showed our quality, especially with our finishing," he added. "The top teams have been here and dropped points and they will upset some side this season. We certainly can feel happy with ourselves at the moment."

Arsenal last won a major trophy in 2005.
