Report: Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere fit to face Aston Villa

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is expected to be fit to face Aston Villa this weekend, despite suffering an ankle problem in midweek.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is reportedly expected to be fit for this Saturday's Premier League match against Aston Villa, despite suffering an ankle injury in midweek.

The England international previously spent 15 months on the sidelines with an ankle problem, and fears grew when the 22-year-old turned his ankle on Tuesday night.

The incident occurred in the Gunners' 2-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League group opener.

However, according to Goal.com, further assessment has shown that there is not any significant damage and the club are confident that Wilshere will be available for Saturday's trip to the Midlands.

The North London outfit are six points behind league leaders Chelsea after four games.
