Tottenham Hotspur team news: Predicted XI vs. Arsenal

Sports Mole looks at how in-form Tottenham Hotspur could line up for their North London derby with Arsenal on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to make it back-to-back derby victories in the Premier League when they take on North London rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Mauricio Pochettino's side recorded an impressive 3-1 win over Chelsea last weekend and backed that up by beating Inter Milan to keep their Champions League hopes alive in midweek.

Victory over Arsenal to make it seven wins in a row across all competitions would be the sweetest of the lot, though, with Spurs bidding to open up a six-point gap to their near neighbours.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the visitors could line up at the Emirates.

Possible TOT XI vs. ARS

Out: Mousa Dembele (ankle), Davinson Sanchez (hamstring), Victor Wanyama (knee), Vincent Janssen (foot)
Doubtful: Kieran Trippier (groin)

Unlike their opponents, Spurs did not have the luxury of resting most of their senior players in midweek so many of the Champions League heroes are likely to start again this weekend, while match-winner Christian Eriksen will return to the XI.

Jan Vertonghen made his long-awaited return after six weeks out in that match, and Pochettino has little choice but to select him again at the Emirates with Davinson Sanchez sidelined and Juan Foyth still inexperienced at this level.

Danny Rose is also pushing for a return from injury having been named on the bench against Inter, but he may miss out to Ben Davies regardless whereas Kieran Trippier will be given every opportunity to prove that he has overcome a groin problem.

Moussa Sissoko's improved form this season is likely to earn him a starting berth, while Son Heung-min will hope to have done enough after his performance against Chelsea last weekend.
