How Liverpool could line up against Arsenal

Sports Mole looks at how Liverpool could line up for Saturday's visit to Arsenal as they look to make it 11 games unbeaten at the start of the Premier League season.

Liverpool could go 11 games unbeaten at the start of a Premier League season for only the second time when they take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening.

The Reds are one of three teams yet to be beaten in the English top flight this term, dropping just four points from the first 30 on offer to sit level at the top with champions Manchester City.

However, they take on a team that has won 12 and lost none of their last 13 matches across all competitions to re-establish themselves as top-four contenders under manager Unai Emery.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Jurgen Klopp could set his side out at the Emirates.

Possible LIV XI vs. ARS

Out: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee)
Doubtful: Naby Keita (hamstring), Jordan Henderson (hamstring)

Klopp has opted for a 4-2-3-1 formation in recent matches due to the absences of Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita, but the captain could return this weekend and Liverpool are therefore likely to switch back to their 4-3-3 system.

The likes of James Milner, Joe Gomez and Andrew Robertson were named on the bench for last weekend's win over Cardiff City but are expected to be restored to the starting lineup for this match.

Alberto Moreno, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Adam Lallana could drop out as a result, although Klopp must decide whether to start Gomez at right-back or centre-back, with the latter option seeing Dejan Lovren dropped instead of Alexander-Arnold.

Xherdan Shaqiri may be hopeful of a start given his recent form, but he will find it difficult to muscle into a front three beginning to hit their stride this season.

Sadio Mane scored twice against Cardiff, while Mohamed Salah opened the scoring and went on to add two assists to his tally.
