Antonio Nocerino says that he may have to leave AC Milan in order to go to next year's World Cup finals in Brazil.

AC Milan midfielder Antonio Nocerino has admitted that he may be forced to leave the San Siro in order to find guaranteed first-team football.

The Italian international is keen to go to next year's World Cup finals in Brazil, but believes that he would struggle for a place in Cesare Prandelli's squad if he is not playing regularly for the Rossoneri.

Nocerino, who has not started a game since February, said that he is focusing his efforts on getting Milan into the Champions League.

"I am 28," Nocerino told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "Next season there is a World Cup, I would like to be there.

"I'd have problems in having another season like this one. We will see. For now, the most important thing is qualifying for the Champions League."

Milan are currently third in Serie A.
