Michael van Gerwen, Phil Taylor through to last eight at European Championship

Michael van Gerwen and Phil Taylor ease through to the quarter-finals of the European Championship with routine wins on Saturday night.

Michael van Gerwen has recorded a 10-2 victory over Gerwyn Price to move through to the European Championship quarter-finals.

The defending champion registered nine 180s and averaged 105 as he comfortably got the better of the Welshman.

Phil Taylor impressed for the second match in succession as he eased to a 10-3 success over Joe Cullen.

The day began with Kyle Anderson easing to a 10-3 over James Richardson, while James Wilson came through in a last-leg decider against Mervyn King.
