Keegan Brown "over the moon" after beating Raymond van Barneveld

Keegan Brown admits that he is "over the moon" after registering a stunning 10-7 victory over Raymond van Barneveld at the Grand Slam of Darts.

Keegan Brown has insisted that everything he achieves at the Grand Slam of Darts remains a bonus despite his impressive 10-7 triumph over Raymond van Barneveld.

Brown, the 2014 World Youth champion, has now defeated both Adrian Lewis and Van Barneveld to reach the quarter-finals, but the Isle of Wight thrower has indicated that he isn't putting too much pressure on himself to continue his fine run of form.

The 22-year-old told PDC.tv: "I'm absolutely over the moon. If someone said to me that I'd beat Adrian in the group stage then I'd have ripped their arm off, so to follow that up with a win over Barney in the last 16 is something that I can't describe.

"Raymond's a Premier League player so you know that you've got to bring your best game otherwise you don't stand a chance, and I did that.

"Raymond's a big idol of mine, so I'm just so happy to beat him and I'm looking forward to tasting this atmosphere again in the quarter-finals. Everything's a bonus for me and it's been a huge learning curve for me this week."

Brown will face Dave Chisnall on Friday evening for a place in the semi-finals of the tournament in Wolverhampton.
