Ian Bell hails England attack

Ian Bell claims that the England bowling attack was key to their success after wrapping up an Ashes triumph at Trent Bridge.

Ian Bell has paid tribute to England's bowling attack after the hosts clinched The Ashes with an emphatic triumph over Australia at Trent Bridge.

England claimed the final three wickets quickly to win by an innings and 78 runs, taking an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series, and Bell was quick to lavish the bowlers with praise.

"It's amazing. Performances from the whole group have been incredible. This one is right up there," the 33-year-old, who has been on five Ashes-winning sides, told Sky Sports.

"The bowlers have set the tone and made it a lot easier for the batsmen. The dressing room has been as good as I've been involved in.

"My batting feels like it's getting back in order, but the bowlers have been key."

Stuart Broad was named man of the match for his figures of 8-15 in Australia's first innings at Trent Bridge.
