Australia, Bangladesh World Cup match delayed

Heavy rain at The Gabba delays the start of the World Cup Pool A clash between Australia and Bangladesh.

The start of the World Cup match between Australia and Bangladesh at The Gabba has been delayed by heavy rain caused by Cyclone Marcia.

Both sides are looking to kick on from victories in their opening matches of the competition as the Baggy Greens beat England convincingly at the MCG, while Mushfiqur Rahim's side defeated Afghanistan.

The covers have failed to leave the pitch at The Gabba, and play has to begin by 8.30am GMT in order for the match to have a chance of completion, with the likelihood of reduced-overs contest.
