Charlie Flynn hails "unbelievable" crowd

Lightweight boxer Charlie Flynn claims that he is "fighting for Scotland" at this summer's Commonwealth Games.

Scotland boxer Charlie Flynn has said that he is "fighting for Scotland" at this summer's Commonwealth Games.

Lightweight Flynn secured at least a bronze medal on Tuesday when he beat Jessie Lartey in the quarter-finals of the competition.

Immediately after the bout, Flynn spoke to Sports Mole about the atmosphere inside the arena.

"It is unbelievable man. You feel it in your heart burning, it is like a fire. I didn't even feel tired in there tonight in any of the rounds," said Flynn.

"You are fighting for your own country, fighting for Scotland and it gives you energy. You want to get in there and prove to everybody that you are the best in front of your home crowd, in front of your friends and family, in front of the world."

Flynn will face Wales's Joe Cordina in the semi-finals.
