Mikhail Prokhorov 'committed to Brooklyn Nets'

Mikhail Prokhorov insists that he isn't looking to sell a majority stake in the Brooklyn Nets.

Brooklyn Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov has insisted that he is committed to the team, and is not looking to sell a majority stake.

Prokhorov is adamant that it was never his intention to sell a majority stake, but did suggest that he would be open to a minority sale of shares in the organisation.

"Well, I think there are several possibilities, one of them you can ask my [minority] partner, Bruce Ratner, it's up to him to decide. Or we [together] can sell, for example, 49 percent to give to somebody else," Prokhorov said, according to ESPN.

"But for the time being, nothing is on the table, and as soon as we hear of any changes in capital structure, we'll announce it in a very open way as we usually do."

The Russian businessman owns 80% of the team and 45% of Barclays Arena, after purchasing the franchise back in May 2010.
