NBA roundup: Oklahoma City Thunder secure eighth consecutive win

Sports Mole takes a look at all the action from Monday's games in the NBA.

The Oklahoma City Thunder secured an eighth win in a row on Monday night thanks to a jump shot from Kevin Durant with 1.5 seconds left on the clock in their game against the Atlanta Hawks.

Durant, who finished the contest with 41 points, helped the Thunder fight back from a 14-point deficit to claim a 111-109 success at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

There was a similarly dramatic climax at the Barclays Center, where the Toronto Raptors earned a 104-103 victory over the Brooklyn Nets.

The Nets were leading by three points with 18 seconds remaining when John Salmons scored an easy lay-up to reduce the home side's advantage, and it was a jump shot from Patrick Patterson, who intercepted a pass from Deron Williams, which sealed the win for the visitors.

Jamal Crawford continued his recent run of good form by scoring 25 points for the Los Angeles Clippers in a comfortable 114-86 triumph over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Blake Griffin added 20 points for the Clippers, who were able to cruise to the win after taking control in the second quarter.

A dominant display from the Phoenix Suns earned them a 124-113 success from their trip to the Wells Fargo Center to face the Philadelphia 76ers.

Gerald Green scored 30 points as the Suns never fell behind in a routine win on the road for Jeff Hornacek's side.

The Minnesota Timberwolves ended a run of seven straight losses to the Chicago Bulls by recording a 95-86 victory at the United Center.

Kevin Love took charge for the Timberwolves with 30 points after Nikola Pekovic was forced off in the first quarter due to an Achilles problem.

The Utah Jazz took advantage of DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay being ruled out for the Sacramento Kings once again to edge to a 106-99 win at the EnergySolutions Arena.

Derrick Favors recorded 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Marvin Williams added 16 points and 11 rebounds to help the Jazz earn success in front of the home fans.
