Video: Michael Cavanagh: 'Team Scotland not hit by reported virus'

Team Scotland chairman Michael Cavanagh and chef de mission Jon Doig deny reports of a widespread virus outbreak in the Athletes' Village.

Team Scotland chairman Michael Cavanagh has said that "none" of the team's athletes has suffered with the suspected norovirus outbreak.

Reports last week claimed that a sickness bug had spread throughout the Athletes' Village ahead of the start of the Commonwealth Games.

However, Cavanagh, in addition to Team Scotland chef de mission Jon Doig, has denied such claims.

"None of our athletes have suffered any such illness. They are all healthy at the moment, as are all athletes and officials in the village. Nothing has changed," Cavanagh said at a press conference.

Meanwhile, Doig added: "There is no issue."
