Traffic congestion is expected at Hyde Park as the women's triathlon begins on day eight of the London Olympic Games.

Day eight of the London Olympic Games begins with the women's triathlon, and that could bring delays for travellers into and out of London this morning.

Areas surrounding Hyde Park, Constitution Hill and The Mall will be extremely busy for the triathlon, as well as the men's 20km walk.

It is also expected that Tube stations at Hyde Park and Pall Mall will be congested throughout the morning.

The Piccadilly and District lines are expected to be the busiest during the morning as spectators head to and from Earls Court and Wimbledon.

A good service is currently reported on all London Underground lines.

Away from London, areas surrounding Manchester's Old Trafford could be busy before the men's football quarter-final between Japan and Egypt at midday.
