Bradley Roby pleads guilty to lesser charge in OVI case

NFL Draft prospect Bradley Roby pleads guilty to a charge of physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

NFL Draft prospect Bradley Roby has pleaded guilty to a charge of physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Roby was arrested earlier this month having been found passed out behind the wheel of a car, while he allegedly failed a sobriety test after officers had opened the door to investigate the situation.

The 21-year-old was initially charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, although the charges were soon amended and demoted to a lesser offence.

Roby received punishment of 180 days in jail, 30 days of probation and a $375 (£223) fine, although the jail time will be suspended if he completes a three-day driver intervention program.

The former Ohio State Buckeyes cornerback, who was also suspended for the first game of last season after allegedly being involved in a bar fight, is predicted to be chosen in the first round of next month's Draft.
