Norv Turner impressed with Teddy Bridgewater

Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner reveals that he was impressed with what he saw from rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater in his side's off-season activities.

Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner has admitted that he was impressed by the quality of rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater in his side's off-season practices.

The Vikings selected Bridgewater 32nd overall in the 2014 NFL Draft out of the Louisville Cardinals to provide competition to Matt Cassel and Christian Ponder at the position for Mike Zimmer's side.

"We've got a really, really good group," Turner told KFAN. "We get between 120 to 140 snaps during a training camp day and that is plenty enough time for all the guys to work a rotation and give them bigger reps and evaluate them.

"I think that Matt Cassel has had an outstanding spring and is getting himself ready to really have a good year. And we know Teddy's been really, really impressive and a lot further along than I expected him to be."

Bridgewater threw for 3,970 yards along with 31 touchdowns to four interceptions for the Cardinals in the 2013 season.
