Miami Dolphins' Jelani Jenkins overwhelmed by Ndamukong Suh quality

Miami Dolphins linebacker Jelani Jenkins admits that he has been overwhelmed by the quality of Ndamukong Suh during his side's off-season practices.

Miami Dolphins linebacker Jelani Jenkins has described his teammate Ndamukong Suh as an "animal" following his performance in the club's minicamp.

The AFC East side made the 28-year-old the most expensive defensive player in NFL history when they signed him to a six-year deal worth $114m (£76.4m).

Jenkins admitted that he has been overwhelmed by the quality of Suh during the brief time the former Detroit Lions man has been with the Dolphins.

He told the club's official website: "Just overall, he's an animal. Besides his athletic ability and just being able to take on double teams and free everybody else up, he's got swag, he's a presence.

"People are going to look out for him and when they're looking out for him, they're not looking out for other people.

"Just his whole demeanor and what it brings to the defense, we're going to be tough to run against, pass against and we're going to have a whole attitude to us."

Suh has recorded 239 tackles, 36 sacks and one interception in his five years in the NFL.
