Mike McCarthy vows defensive improvement

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy insists that his side will be better on the defensive side of the ball in the 2014 season.

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy has vowed that his side's defense will be much improved in the 2014 season.

The Packers were ranked 25th in total defense in the 2013 season, but the club invested their first-round pick in the Draft on former Alabama Crimson Tide safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix along with other additions.

McCarthy told reporters: "We're going to be a better defense this year. You can write that in big letters. We'll be a better defense this year."

The Packers reached the wildcard round of the playoffs last season, where they were defeated by the San Francisco 49ers.
