Sam Faiers says that she will not be returning to The Only Way Is Essex for its upcoming 10-year anniversary.

Sam Faiers has confirmed that she will not be taking part in the special 10-year anniversary reunion of The Only Way Is Essex later this year.

The 29-year-old was one of the original stars of the reality show when it launched on ITV2 in October 2010, appearing in the first 11 series before deciding to leave in 2014.

Sam then went on to appear in her own reality show for ITVBe with her sister Billie, The Mummy Diaries, which has now been running for four years.

To mark TOWIE's 10 years on the air in October, ITVBe will be airing a special 'reunion' episode of the show featuring the return of former cast members - but Sam has ruled herself out.

"I won't be getting involved because, to be honest, it's like I'm at a completely different stage in my life now," she told The Sun. "I don't even know what I would do on there any more.

"I've got my own life with my kids, and TOWIE is ten years ago for me. You just can't compare my life then to my life now."

Having been delayed by coronavirus, TOWIE is due to return for a new series in the coming weeks.
