TV presenter Adrian Chiles is confirmed as the sixth and final celebrity taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.

TV presenter Adrian Chiles has been named as the sixth and final celebrity taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.

The 54-year-old - former host of The One Show and Daybreak - will be paired with Jowita Przystal for the festive special, which is returning this year after a break in 2020 due to COVID.

"Discouragingly, every one of my family and friends with whom I've shared this news, has reacted with horror," he said. "They can't believe it I'm doing it, and neither can I.

"Thoughts and prayers with whichever poor dancer is lumbered with me."

The other five celebs taking part are The Repair Shop's Jay Blades, First Dates' Fred Sirieix, newsreader Moira Stuart, singer Anne-Marie and former Bake Off host Mel Giedroyc.

Strictly's festive special airs on BBC One on Christmas Day.
