ITV to air Coughing Major episodes of 'Millionaire' in full?

ITV could air the infamous 'cheating' episodes of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? in full following the success of Quiz.

ITV could air the infamous 'Coughing Major' episodes of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? in full following the success of dramatisation Quiz.

The show, which has been stripped across three nights this week, recounts the story of Charles Ingram and how he allegedly cheated his way to the top prize on the gameshow in 2001.

Hollywood actor Michael Sheen plays the part of host Chris Tarrant in Quiz, while Matthew Macfadyen stars as Ingram and Sian Clifford his wife Diana.

Monday night's first episode drew more than 5.3 million viewers to ITV, prompting the network to consider airing the original 19 years on.

Ingram's 'win' straddled two separate episodes in 2001 but has since been reworked into a single standalone episode.

The official Millionaire Twitter account has suggested that the recut episode will be broadcast on Thursday, although it is unclear whether it will air on ITV itself or be made available via on-demand.
