Nick Kyrgios jokes that it was "love at first sight" when he met Wimbledon rival Andy Murray.

Nick Kyrgios has joked that it was "love at first sight" when he met Andy Murray, whom he will face in the fourth round at Wimbledon on Monday.

The controversial Australian has impressed in the Grand Slam having beaten Radek Stepanek, Dustin Brown and Feliciano Lopez in the first three rounds.

Murray, who is yet to drop a set after defeating Liam Broady, Lu Yen-Hsun and John Millman, will face a stern test against Kyrgios, who has revealed that the pair have formed a friendship.

"It was love at first sight," Kyrgios joked to reporters. "When Andy walks in [to the locker room], we see each other, we just give each other a look. We can't stop looking at each other for a bit.

"We joke a lot. In the locker room, it's just instant banter. We just have a lot of fun."

The tournament opened up when defending champion and world number one Novak Djokovic was knocked out by American Sam Querrey in the third round over the weekend.
