Kyle Edmund: 'I will take positives from US Open run'

Kyle Edmund says that he will take the positives from his run to the fourth round of the US Open.

Kyle Edmund has acknowledged that he has enjoyed a "great tournament" at the US Open, despite being outclassed by Novak Djokovic on Sunday night.

The British player won just seven games as the world number one dominated their clash on the Arthur Ashe Stadium court, but after beating Richard Gasquet and John Isner earlier in the final Major of the year, Edmund is focusing on the positives.

The 21-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "It's been a great tournament for me. There are loads of positives to take from the way I've been playing. I've got a lot of learning to do. That's a really good thing.

"To play the world number one on the biggest tennis court in the world - it doesn't get much better than that."

Edmund is expected to return to action when Great Britain face Argentina in the Davis Cup semi-finals later this month.
