Shakhtar Donetsk moved up to second in Group H by thrashing BATE Borisov 7-0 in Belarus this evening, giving the Ukrainian champions their <a href="/football/bate-borisov/champions-league/result/result-shakhtar-hit-a-magnificent-seven-at-bate_183927.html">first win</a> of the group stage.

Luiz Adriano scored five goals including two penalties to clinch the victory, which leaves them two points behind group leaders Porto.

Shakhtar became the first team to score six times in the first half of a Champions League match, while Adriano is just the second player to net five times in a single match in the competition.
