Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Cadiz

Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's La Liga clash with Cadiz.

Real Madrid will be eyeing their fourth straight La Liga victory when they resume their 2020-21 campaign at home to newly-promoted Cadiz on Saturday night.

Los Blancos opened their title defence with a goalless draw with Real Sociedad but have since beaten Real Betis, Real Valladolid and Levante to move onto 10 points in the division.

Zinedine Zidane's side are the early leaders in Spain's top flight and will be looking for another three points ahead of their next league game away to Barcelona on October 24.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Cadiz, who have picked up seven points from their first five matches of the season.

Eden Hazard

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: October 24 (vs. Barcelona)

Eden Hazard has had a terrible time with injuries since arriving at the Bernabeu last summer, and he is currently on the sidelines with a muscular problem. The Belgium international is expected to return to training later this week, though, and is seemingly working towards being available for the clash with Barca.

Eder Militao

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: October 17 (vs. Cadiz)

Eder Militao was not involved against Sociedad, Betis, Valladolid or Levante due to the muscular problem that he picked up against Getafe in a pre-season clash last month. However, the central defender has a chance of being involved this weekend after using the international break to recover.

Mariano Diaz

Status: Out
Type of injury: Tonsillitis
Possible return date: Unknown

Madrid will again be without the services of Mariano Diaz this weekend as the forward recently underwent surgery for tonsillitis, which saw him lose eight kilograms in weight, according to Marca. Diaz has now returned to training but will not be involved this weekend as he builds back to full fitness.

Dani Carvajal

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Spain international Dani Carvajal is expected to spend the next six weeks on the sidelines recovering from a knee injury, with the Spaniard damaging his medial collateral ligament during a training session.

Alvaro Odriozola

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: October 17 (vs. Cadiz)

Alvaro Odriozola was forced to miss out against Levante before the international break after picking up a calf injury during a training session. The issue is not believed to be serious, though, and the defender has a chance of returning to the starting XI on Saturday with first-choice right-back Carvajal on the sidelines.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Madrid have no players suspended for the clash with Cadiz.
