How the Netherlands could line up against Bosnia-Herzegovina

Sports Mole looks at how the Netherlands could line up in Sunday's UEFA Nations League clash with Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The Netherlands will be looking to bounce back from successive defeats when they continue their 2020-21 UEFA Nations League campaign away to Bosnia-Herzegovina on Sunday night.

Frank de Boer's side lost their last Nations League contest at home to Italy on September 7, while they will also enter this match off the back of a 1-0 friendly loss to Mexico on Wednesday night.

Oranje are currently second in Group 1 of League A with three points from their two matches and will be determined to pick up a victory in this weekend's contest.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the visitors could line up in Zenica.

POSS NED XI vs. BOS

De Boer will make changes to the side that started against Mexico on Wednesday night, but it does appear that the new head coach will stick with a 4-3-3 formation this weekend.

Jasper Cillessen, Frenkie de Jong and Nathan Ake are all poised to return to the starting XI, while there could also be spots in attack for Quincy Promes and Luuk de Jong.

Memphis Depay started through the middle against Mexico but could drop to the left for this match, while Frenkie de Jong is likely to join Donny van de Beek and Georginio Wijnaldum in midfield.

De Boer is unlikely to disturb the centre of his defence, meaning that De Vrij and Van Dijk, who only played 45 minutes each against Mexico, should continue at the heart of the back four.

Marten de Roon and Joel Veltman are also both pushing for spots in the starting XI, but the pair are likely to again be handed positions on the bench.
